This SNCB/NMBS workshop consisting of a large hall and three office floors covering an area of approximately 4000 m² is intended for train maintenance.
The actual workshop is fitted with two maintenance access tracks equipped with roof access gangways, a lifting system and a shorter track section for bogie maintenance work. The building also includes offices, technical rooms, toilets, cloakrooms, a canteen and a warehouse.
The workshop is ergonomic and efficient, in compliance with the applicable environmental standards. Insulation, lighting and ventilation are therefore essential elements of the project. The site also has a stormwater pond and a rainwater recovery tank.
