Delivered projet: Canal 44 in Esch-sur-Alzette

A project combining heritage and modernity, right in the heart of the city.

In March, we completed the Canal 44 project, a large-scale property development combining the construction of four new buildings with the renovation of a landmark building: the former headquarters of the Tageblatt newspaper.

This historic building, with its preserved stone façade, will now house:

4 new buildings
73 homes, including 21 integrated into the historic building
4 shops on the ground floor
90 underground parking spaces on 2 levels

A real technical challenge was met: two levels were added to the existing building using an exoskeleton structure, supported by new foundations below ground level. A challenge successfully met by our teams.
